We are excited to offer a 2 week French Enrichment Summer Program from June 26 to July 7. This is a French enrichment camp provided by native French speakers and fluent French speakers in an immersion setting with fun and engaging activities and games in French. Camp is offered from 8:30am – 1:00pm with a drop off option between 8:00am- 8:30am for working parents. Extended care is available from 1:00pm – 5:30pm.
Our camp is open to toilet-trained (as of their first day of camp) current, incoming, and alumni LFS students 3 – 12 years old as well as other students in the community interested in Learning French. Beginners are welcome!
Children will experience the summer through outdoor play, nature walks, and lots of hands-on activities. We follow a daily routine similar to our regular school year programs, featuring free indoor play, group activities, organic snack provided by LFS, outdoor recess, projects & games, and much more! Our morning programs focus on projects, stories and games according to the theme of the week, while the afternoon will focus on outdoor education, nature exploration and hands-on activities. Students bring a packed lunch from home.
Our summer program is open to French immersion students as well as children from the community who are new to the language, so no previous exposure to French is required! Camps are designed to meet the needs of students with many different levels of familiarity with French.
We look forward to sharing a fun French summer camp with your children.
The program operates from June 26 through July 7, 2017 at The Little French School.
Doors at summer school will open at 8 am, for drop-offs anytime between 8:00 and 9:00 AM. We ask that all students arrive by 9 am so that we can include all children in the morning’s camp activities.
French camp ends at 1pm. Extended care is available from 1:30pm – 5:30pm with pickups available, 3:30pm and 5:30pm. If you do not want your child to do the morning French Camp you may request extended care from 1:30pm – 5:30pm. We close at 5:30pm sharp, so please plan to arrive at LCC on time. For students staying after 1:00pm, a nap/rest time will be provided. We do our best to accommodate families’ requests for daily naps, but we ask that you understand that summer energy can sometimes make it challenging for children to sleep!
We often enjoy sprinklers and water play in the later parts of the afternoons (starting around, depending on nap/rest schedules). Please plan your pickup time accordingly if your child would like to have time to play in the water.
