The Little French School is passionate about empowering students socially, emotionally, and academically through the medium of French culture, diversity, and language in an accessible and fun learning environment. Our vision is to support the well-being and self-confidence of each student while instilling acceptance, respect, and creativity. We never forget the importance of play; it teaches socialization and empathy. All of these combined promote learning.
The Little French School’s philosophy is to prepare students to embrace life by modeling kindness, cultural awareness, and respect of others. Creativity and individuality are highly encouraged in a safe and loving setting.
We believe that inclusion is a right, not a privilege. The Little French School is an open and accepting safe space for all children, families, and staff to learn, explore, play, connect, and work. We do not discriminate in enrollment or employment decisions on the basis of race, religion, ethnic or national origin, familial status, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, sexual orientation, ability, or any other protected status under federal, state, or local law. We welcome in our school all shapes, sizes, colors, sexes, languages, cultures, beliefs, ages, and statuses.

Our school is open for children between the ages of 24 months and 5 years in our three French immersion classes. See enrollment page for more information.
Our immersion program seeks to sharpen each child’s intellectual abilities by using a second language as a medium of instruction, helping the children to develop their full potential. Each child’s individuality and creativity is honored and encouraged, which helps our young learners develop self-esteem.
We maintain an environment in which positive reinforcement is provided and children are able to make choices. Respect for one another is at the core of our philosophy, and conflicts are resolved with redirection, communication, and mutual respect.
The Little French School is dedicated to small class sizes and personalized attention, basing the level of instruction on each child’s interests and abilities. We are also passionate about forging connections between family, community, and environment, and supporting cultural awareness in our students. Children are encouraged to explore their own creativity and individuality through activities and projects in the areas of art, music, storytelling, discovery science, and physical and environmental education. The French language is learned gradually through the curriculum and also as children hear it spoken throughout the day.
