About LFS / Sur LFS

LFS is a private, non-profit school in Eugene, Oregon, that provides a unique experience for children by combining high quality care with immersion in the French language. We offer small class sizes, diverse curricula, flexible scheduling, and the chance to start your child on the path to language learning and cultural awareness.

Founded in 1987, the school began as the Eugene French American School. It was originally housed in Fox Hollow Elementary School, and then moved down the hill to the previous Pearl Buck Center on West Amazon in 1989. That year, the school added a Spanish classroom and became Eugene International Preschool and Kindergarten (EIPK).

In 1993, the Spanish program was dropped in order to expand and focus on the French program, and in 1994, the school’s name was changed to The Little French School, Inc. We have been providing quality immersion education under that name ever since. Since 2006 we have been housed at our current location, in Lane ESD’s Westmoreland Campus.

We hope you’ll join us and become a part of our story!
