COVID-19 GUIDELINES
We thank our families and staff for their continued vigilance keeping everyone healthy.
1. General Guidelines.
Face masks are optional
Stay home or keep your child at home if they are sick. Please refer to the symptoms list on page 2.
At home PCR or antigen testing is accepted.
2. Vaccination Recommendation
We strongly recommend families to get their students vaccinated for Covid-19
3. COVID-19 RESPONSE
If staff, students or parents are exposed to an individual who tested positive for Covid-19, please be vigilant and proactive.
Individual should get tested. The individual in question may come back to the school with proof of a negative Covid-19 test.
At home PCR or antigen testing is accepted.
If a student or staff member tests positive, notify the school immediately, isolate at home
In order to come back to school, the individual must quarantine for 5 full days, and get tested on Day-6 with a Covid-19 antigen test. For example, if a positive diagnosis is received on a Monday, then Day-1 of quarantine starts on Tuesday and testing can be done, at the earliest, on Sunday, which would be Day-6. Families may get tested later than Day-6 if they prefer.
Individuals may come back to school with proof of a negative test and if symptom free.
There will be no classroom closure. Only the individual who tested positive will be excluded from the classroom. We ask that everyone remains diligent and gets tested if any symptoms arise. Please keep in mind that if a staff member tests positive and we are not able to find a substitute teacher to maintain the student/teacher ratio, the classroom may temporarily close.
If a member of the household tests positive, notify the school immediately
Due to the age group we are serving, we will provide two options:
Option#1: The student or staff from that household with the positive Covid-19 case may come to LFS; however, they will have to wear a high quality face mask (N95, KN95, or KF94) for 10 consecutive days with testing on Day-3 and Day-5 from the initial date of exposure to the positive case.
Option#2: Stay home for 5 days and get tested on Day 6. May come back to LFS with proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen test.
The household member who tested positive will not be able to drop off or pick up a student until proof of a negative test is provided and if the individual is symptom free.
We want to remind families of the importance of following the LFS Internal Health and Safety Guidelines. Our goal is to keep everyone safe while providing high quality care to families in our community. Please remember that children are still at risk.
We are grateful for your flexibility and due diligence while we navigate this together.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
