The Board aims to include a diverse group of members with backgrounds and experiences that strengthen the school. The Board encourages participation from individuals who are passionate about our school's mission and long-term success, and can include current families of the LFS community as well as community members with relevant professional expertise.
This year, the LFS Board is seeking to fill the following positions (see descriptions below):

Executive BoardÂ
The Executive Board provides leadership and administrative oversight for the Board of Directors.
Chair
The Chair serves as the primary leader of the Board of Directors. The Chair leads board meetings, helps establish board priorities, supports strategic planning, and works closely with school leadership and board members to advance the mission of the school.
Vice Chair
The Vice Chair supports the Board Chair and assumes leadership responsibilities in the Chair's absence. The Vice Chair assists with board initiatives, committee coordination, and strategic planning efforts, helping ensure continuity in board leadership.
Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for maintaining the official records of the Board of Directors. This includes recording meeting minutes, tracking board actions, maintaining governance documents, and ensuring board records are organized and accessible.
Treasurer
The Treasurer provides oversight of the school's financial health and serves as Chair of the Finance Committee. The Treasurer works with school leadership and the Finance Committee to review budgets, monitor financial performance, support long-term financial planning, and ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
Staff Representative
The Staff Representative serves as a liaison between the school's staff and the Board of Directors. This board member brings staff perspectives to board discussions and votes on behalf of the staff community while supporting the overall mission and strategic goals of the school.
Parent Association (PA) Representative
The PA Representative serves as the designated voice of the school's parent community and votes on behalf of Little French School parents. The PA Representative also serves as the Chair of the Parent Association. This is the only board position that must be held by a current parent of an enrolled student. The PA Representative promotes communication between parents and the board and brings parent perspectives to board discussions and decisions.
Board Members at Large
Board Members at Large are voting members of the Board of Directors who contribute their expertise, experience, and perspectives to support the governance of the school. Members at Large are expected to attend meetings regularly, participate in committee work as needed, and support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
